This Sunday, I started my cleanse.
Last week was full of shit (literally). Nothing but bad interactions and bad vibrations. I allowed myself some time to be sad and cry then I remembered, I can’t control how anyone treats me, I can only control myself. I decided take the reins and to transform my space, change how I fed my body, and use spiritual objects to fix the energy in my place of comfort. I thought to myself, I’m sure this will be a launch into positivity and good vibes. But then, I come onto
Without going into detail I will say the obvious, it’s not worth it to be friends with people who are ignorant. Ignorance is a choice. Swans don’t hang out with pigeons and lions don’t lose sleep over the opinions of sheep. Go through your friends list and remove those who serve no purpose or who are upsetting. Don’t complain about Debbie Downer or Negative Nelson when you choose to stay subscribed to their issues. That super pompous, horribly offensive ex coworker? Deleted. The woman who has more problems than solutions about everyone’s life but hers? Deleted. The person who posts things that let you know they don’t like people who look like you but they say YOU ARE different from THEM? Deleted.
This year, I started with losing people I was hanging onto for dear life because, it was the NICE thing to do for everyone else. CHILD, PLEASE. I don’t choose to associate myself with people I can sit and talk about for hours. That means I don’t care for them regardless if everyone else thinks it’s “mean”. IMO (in my opinion), I think it’s more cruel to discuss someone when they aren’t present about things you haven’t and won’t address to them. That’s not accountability and compassion. Now, if when I talk to you about the issues and the problem still remains at my expense, I have the choice to deal or not deal. If your presence, attitude or words make me feel bad, unhappy or drained, I don’t want to be around you and I WON’T be around you. I got closer to people who respected that sentiment and my RIGHT to find peace in my life.
You don’t have to hang on to negativity in your life. Surround yourself with those that propel you forward, make your soul feel at home, and first start with yourself. Do you like where you lay your head? Change your space around, open windows, wake up to the sun instead of an alarm clock, light some incense, kick that no good significant other you’ve been hanging on to out and burn some sage. Do you like your body? Feed it good fuel, rub your skin with a smile, be active, use sunscreen, wear lingerie every night for yourself, do that hairdo, makeup or whatever you’ve been DYING to try.
What am I doing different this week?
- Since these extra pounds are bothering me, I’m doing the lemon cayenne detox and only consuming fat burning foods while adding a daily cardio routine from my obsession with hoarding exercise videos
- I’m waking up to a little yoga and fresh air
- I’ve purchased a Himalayan Salt Lamp, burning sage and a special crystal to help with energies
- I’m keeping a notepad of positivity to reflect on all the good things that happened in 24 hours
- I’ve rearranged and reorganized my space and honey, that was no easy task
- I’ve made a vow to work up a good sweat every evening, take a nice long shower with aromatherapy wash and give my face some TLC
Make yourself happy by any means necessary as long as you aren’t hurting anyone else. Period. Watch your life transform.
